ARSENAL WANT BRAZILIAN STAR GABIGOL

English Premier League giant, Arsenal FC are reported to have submitted their bid for Brazilian star Gabigol.

The reports are rife in Brazil, especially as Arsenal are seriously in search for a striker. Arsenal wanted to land Jamie Vardy from Leicester City but the player snubbed the club to sign contract extension. ESPN Brazil report that Head Coach Arsene Wenger has decided to land the player this summer. The report claim they player Gabriel Barbosa, nicknamed ‘Gabigol’ for his striking exploits, could join the Gunners this summer.

The 19-year-old player confirmed that he has offers from other clubs but remains happy at his current club. “Yes, I have offers from some of the big clubs in Europe that interest me, but that is for my parents and my employers but I am happy at Santos.

“That will sort itself out in time, Santos is my home, but we will make a calm decision,” the starlet added.

Santos is known for producing amazing talents over the years. Many players have left the club to become stars in many other clubs, around the world. Brazilian legend Pele played most of his football career at the club. The club also produced former Real Madrid star Robinho, aside Neymar currently with Barcelona. Felipe Anderson,
Diego and Elano also passed through the club.

Gabigol was called up by Brazil for their Copa America tournament, before they were knocked out by Peru through a controversial goal in the group stage. he scored in the 7-1 thumping of Haiti before they were sent home. He is one of the top-ranked youngsters in Brazil and has even been linked with a £25million move to Fiorentina this summer.
Arsenal have been linked with many strikers as they hope to find a very reliable goal poacher ahead the coming season.
