Atletico Clash Will Be Missed By Robinho

The star player of AC Milan- Robinho will unfortunately miss the UEFA Champions League match against Atletico Madrid which is going to take place next week because he has sustained a thigh injury.

Robinho suffered through a thigh knock during a Serie A match between AC Milan and Napoli on the 8th of February, 2014 at San Paolo. After Robinho got injured, Kaka replaced him during the 2nd half of the football match. However, AC Milan embarrassingly lost the match against Napoli.

Clarence Seedorf (coach of AC Milan) might have to work without Robinho’s services this time in the match between Bologna and AC Milan which is going to be held on the 14th of February, 2014. Along with that, there is a high possibility that Robinho will miss the much awaited clash between Atletico Madrid and AC Milan at the Champions League on 19th of February, 2014.

Atletico Madrid is also facing problems because Tiago Mendes (Atletico’s midfielder) is also suffering from two injuries: sprained right knee ligament and fractured wrist. Just like Robinho, Tiago will also be missing a few matches due to an operation.

AC Milan announced officially on their website that Robinho is suffering from an injury in his left thigh muscles and he will undergo several examinations in order to determine the extent and seriousness of the injury.

If the thigh injury turns out to be severe, then Robinho will also miss the Serie A match against Sampdoria on the 23rd of February, 2014 and the match against Juventus on the 3rd of March, 2014.

The Brazilian footballer has made around eighteen appearences for AC Milan this season and has provided 5 assists. AC Milan is at the 11th position in the overall standing of Serie A 2014. The team is way behind Inter Milan who has been the city rival of AC Milan.
