Atletico Mineiro’s Robinho wants a return to Brazil

At his 32 years of age, Robinho still continues to play and the experienced player has not shown any signs of hanging up his boots even though his age is fairly elevated.

Robinho recently completed a move from China to Brazil as he was transferred from the Asian club Guangzhou Evergrande to Atletico Mineiro on a 2 year long deal.

The Chinese Super League has been attracting the attention of high-profile players as Asian clubs are spending big bucks in securing the services of renowned performers and Robinho is the latest figure to join this list.

Another recent top player that have completed his move to the Asian League was Ezequiel Lavezzi who made a move to Hebei Fortune. Ac.Milan’s Mario Balotelli is a figure who has been consistently linked with a potential move to the Chinese Super League aswell.

Robinho was initially rumored to be on the verge of joining Leicester City and Santos but it was Atletico Minero that managed to sign the Brazilian attacker and he is now aiming to spark his career back to life with his new club and hopefully get a call up by Dunga to perform with the national team.

“My aim is to return to the national team. But first I need to play well. I have a lot of respect for Santos, but now I hope to write a story as beautiful or even more so at Atletico. I’m very motivated, very happy. I thank the players and the fans for the reception. I’m at a great club and I hope to help Atletico compete in every competition. I know the effort the board made. Atletico have been talking to me for a long time and I’m sure I’ve made the best choice’’ This was the statement that was released by Robinho after being officially unveiled as a new player of Atletico Minerio.
