ROBINHO INVOLVED?

Robinho went from being praised as the next Pele to a player that is fortunate if he is just able to get a place into the starting lineup of any club he joins. This was the case when he played for Manchester City a few years ago and now that he is an Ac.Milan player things aren’t very different.

After not being able to perform at the same level of what his expectations were, he was offloaded from Manchester City to Ac.Milan with a price tag of £15 million and now with Clarence Seedorf in charge of the Italian club, Robinho has not secured a spot in the starting lineup of the new coach.

Rumors started spreading around since last season regarding the future of the Brazilian player as he has already stated that he would like to make a move back to his childhood club Santos and finish the last few years of his career in Brazil.

Tottenham is a Premier League heavyweight which is believed to be interested in securing the Brazilian player from Ac.Milan after the technical director of the club; Franco Baldini revealed that he considers Robinho to be a top target in the summer.

Robinho could be seen as a replacement for Jermain Defoe who left Tottenham and joined Toronto FC around 1 month ago. Ac.Milan is in need of a cash injection and considering that Robinho is not a fundamental player for the Italian club, it would be a wise decision if they do decide on offloading him somewhere else and use the funds to sign a player they desperately need to improve the squad.

Robinho already has experience playing in the Premier League and this might just be his last chance to perform at a top tier club before hanging up his boots, but this will only happen if Ac.Milan does decide on releasing him when the transfer window opens at the end of the season.
