Real Sociedad striker Carlos Vela has said that Mexican international Javier Hernandez should follow his example and consider leaving Manchester United in January or in the summer. Carlos Vela made his name at Arsenal, but he found first-team opportunities limited at the Premier league outfit.
Hence, after spending a few seasons on loan at various levels, he decided to make the loan move to Real Sociedad permanent. This has proven to be a great decision for the player, as he has been able to get regular first-team football and retain his place in the Mexican national team.
Hernandez is currently struggling with a similar situation at United. Even though he is extremely good and has a great goal record at United, he has constantly been preferred to the likes of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie up front. Even the youngster Danny Welbeck is ahead of him in the pecking order.
Vela has said that Hernandez is one of the best strikers in the game and he is not being given a fair chance to prove himself at United. Hence, he has urged him to leave Old Trafford in order to get regular first-team football, which may be crucial for Hernandez to retain his place in the national team. According to the latest online betting, Hernandez is more likely to be playing somewhere other than Old Trafford next season.
“Javier is my good friend – and I hope he gets lots of chances this season at Manchester United. He is one of the best finishers in England and deserves chances under the new coach. If he plays regularly he will score, so I don’t totally understand why a player of his quality has not played more games. If he doesn’t play regularly he will need to think about leaving,” said the Mexican striker ahead of the match with Manchester United in the Champions League.
Vela will undoubtedly be a major threat to his place in the Mexican team.
