Robinho!

Brazilian attacker Robinho will be without a club in the coming days after Santos decided to terminate his contract with them. Santos president Andres Rueda has already informed the media that the club will cancel the existing deal that Robinho has with the club. The contract termination is expected to be finalised in a couple of days.Robinho has a few weeks left on his contract which expires next month but Santos are not prepared to wait for the contract to expire. It was revealed by the Santos president that the club wants to finish the relationship with Robinho as soon as possible.

Santos president Andres Rueda said openly that the Brazilian Serie A club will terminate the contract of Robinho and that the termination process is already in motion. Andres Rueda said that the termination of the player’s contract will happen in the next fewdays and that the club has already contacted the player and that he knows what’s expected. Robinho knows that the intention from Brazilian Serie A outfit Santos is to finish or break the professional camaraderie between them and the player. Robinho has had to endure a lot lately due to the rape allegations levelled against him. The player was said to be culpable in a gang rape case while he was still an AC Milan player in the past hours.

Robinho signed for Santos towards the end of last year only for sponsors to start pulling out because of the player. To this effect, Santos president Andres Rueda and his board members had to end his contract after the public outcry over the player. Already, his lawyer known as Marisa Alija is waiting for the greenlight from Santos in a  bid to get the disagreement done. Santos will have a breather from the scrutiny once the disengagement has been sorted out.
